Siegfried "Ziggy" Taylor
July 31, 2010-November 20, 2023
Siegfried "Ziggy" Taylor passed away at his home, surrounded by those he claimed as his own, in Gloucester, Virginia on Monday, November 20, 2023.
The beginning of the story of Ziggy had a rough start, but improved tenfold once his dad rescued him. Ziggy was inseparable from his human, and sometimes described as clingy with no boundaries. Ziggy had to learn to share his human once Autumn entered their life, but he soon accepted Autumn's love and forced groomings.
There are too many memories to recount with Ziggy in this short page, but Ziggy made sure to always keep one on their toes. True to his cocker spaniel blood, Ziggy was intelligent, loyal, and eager to please. Once, after leaving the house unlocked, Ziggy made sure to teach his humans a lesson by locking both doors from the inside, forcing his humans to enter the house via the window. Another time, after a short jaunt in the woods, Ziggy came back caked in smelly swamp mud, leading to a bath and a haircut. For all his sour moments, the sweet side of Ziggy was greater.
A few of Ziggy's favorite things included eating trash, long walks on the beach rolling in seagrass, pushing the oscillating fan toward him at night, his hot dog squeaker toy, and rotisserie chickens.
Ziggy is loved by his mother and father, Harry and Autumn Taylor, and his human brother, baby Harry. Ziggy leaves his protector duties of baby Harry to his feline sisters, Phoebe, Sela, and Rusla.
