Our journey began on a snowy day in early January of 2015. I was recovering from major heart surgery two months earlier and in my spare time on the computer, came across your picture on the internet. I just had to have you. 

Upon our arrival we discovered you were being raised in horrible conditions by a "backyard breeder." You had been in a CAGE your whole life of 1.5 years. You had never walked on grass or even simply went for a walk! I fell in love with you, Mia, at first sight, and just knew I had to save you! I reluctantly gave the horrible person who had you the money they asked and carried you home in my arms that day! 

That first spring, we started with daily walks, frequent grooming appointments and many car rides. You were our little Princess! We loved you so much. You were the best, loyal companion. Our precious moments together will always be with me. You were truly a gift from God. 

I love and miss you so much, Mia. You will be in my heart forever. Until we meet again.
