Obituary

Dos was a beloved pet companion for nearly 13 years. He leaves behind his mom, dad, brother, and three sisters. He was adopted from Gloucester Mathews Humane Society at 7 weeks old, and immediately became a member of the family. Most often, Dos could be found cuddling with the children, whether on the couch, in a bed, or on the floor, there were no limits to his cuddles. Dos was an avid escape artist, always in pursuit of his favorite activity of chasing cats, squirrels, or anything that moved. He spent many days at Ark Park playing with his friends, Bella, Sasha, Akilah, and Sezja, chasing one another and playing tug of war. Dos loved the water and enjoyed playing in the York River, he even made a special trip to Nags Head to play in the ocean. Dos was a faithful jogging and hiking companion. He could walk tirelessly as his human companions faded. He spent countless hours exploring the trails at Beaverdam Park. In his later days, Dos loved laying on the back deck soaking in the sun rays as he kept watch over his family playing or doing yard work. He would often join in on yard work by digging 3 ft. deep holes. Dos was adored by his family, as well as his fellow pet companions Nellie and Remi, who followed his every lead. We hope that the rainbow bridge is full of squirrels to chase, rivers to play in, and enormous sunshine to bask in afterwards.
